I guarantee a significant portion of hours are simply invented.
I know a lot of mine are, and I imagine that's true of many pimos. That's not counting all the massaged numbers from those who are mentally in!
regular pioneers: 600 per year, 50 on average per month.auxiliary pioneers: 30 hours per monthauxiliary pioneers in march and april: fee reduced to 15 hours.

What an absolute joke 🤣 When everyone's a pioneer, no one is.
Still, for someone who works full time 30 is significant. Notice how in the video that announced it (2023 GB update #1) Mark Sanderson passive-aggressively suggests that all Elders and Ministerial Servants will be expected to auxiliary pioneer when it's the 15 hour requirement. Not a huge deal, but still just another man made rule to add to the mix.
i sent the following letter to my older brother, a jw elder in grand prairie, texas, who actively shuns me since i left the religion for conscientious reasons two years ago.. may 11, 2017. dear ronnie,.
in the opening scenes of the movie gone with the wind, a field worker hollers out, “”quttin’ time!” big sam protests, saying, “i’s da fo’man on tara.
i sez when it’s quittin’ time.
Beautiful, eloquent, clear, irrefutable. I pray it is actually read.
of course most christians partake in different ways at different intervals (the bible never says strictly annual) but obviously the main point is christ's flesh and blood.
for jws the main attraction is the organization's sales pitch and in the new 2023 memorial invitation they pretty much admit it, quote:.
the main feature of the memorial is a talk.
Rattigan:
You're using JW logic here. The running theme of Christianity is that the old law was a shadow of things to come, and says explicitly not to get caught up with specifics about rules and even dates. Similarly regarding the Sabbath, Paul said that rather than continuing to be weekly on a specific day it means living for Christ regularly.
were you ever on a congregation picnic?
i was on several occasions.. the arrangements were often announced from the platform after the closing song and prayer by the last elder up on the platform.. sometimes it was included in the service meeting announcements as "on saturday we're meeting at 10.00am at the kingdom hall for field service, and after field service for anyone who wishes, especially for the younger ones, we will be having a congregation picnic meeting at the beach carpark on seaview road.".
well, according to the new elders manual you won't be hearing those words again.
This is just a reiterating of the same adjustment that was made over a decade ago, in almost the same words. Same purpose then as now, to avoid liability for any molesting that goes on.

......regarding the 'slave's' statement which says the "great crowd" must also "figuratively partake?".
w87 6/15 p. 19 par.
13 - "in 1986: it was appreciated that both the remnant and the “great crowd” must figuratively partake of jesus’ flesh and blood by accepting his sacrifice in order to be in harmony with him.
Very true BM. The JWs say that the 'great crowd' are pictured by proselyte residents and don't partake of the memorial, yet they ignore the command in Exodus 12 regarding the Passover:
"All the assembly of Israel are to celebrate it. If a foreigner resides with you ... he will become like a native of the land. ... One law will apply for the native and for the foreigner who is residing among you.”
i was looking at the (mostly) wrong answers to a riddle that's making the rounds on social media and thought it was a good example of how something simple (in this case, grade school math) can be distorted with words.
the riddle goes like this:.
i bought a cow for $800.. i sold it for $1000.

Pete you're overthinking it, nothing to do with tip. The three dollars were subtracted resulting in 27 and the remaining $2 to be consistent should also have been, resulting in 25. The manager subtracted 3 and then added 2 for some bizarre reason.
i started watching the chosen because i have amazon prime (free to watch) and i saw some sort of reference to in on youtube if i recall.
anyway, imo it is so heart warming the way jesus is being portrayed.
i was thinking even if the jw produce that series they plan on the life of jesus, it will have a high bar already set.
